Our annual Truckload Sale allows customers to purchase case amounts of quality foods at greatly reduced prices. All offers are on a first-come, first-served basis and we are unable to reserve products, so plan to come early to increase your chances of getting what you want. You can pick up an order form at the store prior to the sale date.
Empty Bowl — Saturday Nov 8, 2008
The 16th Annual Empty Bowl Dinner will be held at the Methodist Church on Route 7 in Middlebury. Empty Bowl is a nationwide effort to fight hunger at the local level. Since 1992, the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op has sponsored its own Empty Bowl Dinner. The event is designed to raise money and awareness for local food shelves. Area potters donate beautiful bowls, and local bakeries, farms, and orchards provide food. Co-op members volunteer their time and make desserts. We serve a delicious and healthful vegetarian meal in potters’ bowls that guests may take home afterwards. Tickets are on sale at the registers early in November. Donations beyond the ticket price are happily accepted. 100 percent of ticket sales will be donated to the local food shelves.
