- Board members attend an annual retreat to devote a day to a particular
issue affecting the future of the Co-op.
- Board members have access to free online workshops about the workings
of cooperatives and information about the tools and skills that help their

Boards and General Managers at regional meetings in northern New
England.
- Serving on the Co-op Board provides an opportunity for you to combine your unique insights and talents with those of other Board members to help shape the future of the Co-op.
You can be part of all this and receive a $20 stipend for each monthly meeting attended and a 10% discount on all MNFC purchases.

Serving on the Board of Directors
Voices of present Board Directors about their work
This is one of the most interesting, dedicated and fun boards that I have ever worked on. The Co-op’s mission is easy to be passionate about: The Coop is democratic; it is member-owned; it is committed to providing healthy, competitively priced foods; it is dedicated to encouraging sound, healthy patterns of food production as well as consumption; and it responds to members’ needs. With our rapidly changing environment and ever changing food industry practices, I can think of no more important work than that I do on behalf of the Co-op. Please consider getting involved. — Kate Gridley
Just when we thought we knew it so well, joining the Board opened a big window into the community and healthy food hub that's been central to our lives for thirty years. Learning the extent of what actually goes into it, and finding ways to engage and get traction, has been a thrill. And working closely with other board members, both collectively and in smaller groups, has been an outright privilege. — Tam Stewart
